J+5 & J+6/ Origins Center et balades avant le grand départ pour le parc Kruger!

Today in Jozy was about pouring rain, electricity shortage and ... cocooning with good music. A blessing before hitting the road tomorrow morning in direction of Kruger Park and Swaziland. I rent a car with another guest for 2 weeks and we will be traveling together till Capetown. None of us is used to driving on the left side of the road so we'll have to be carefull. We hope to see the big five in the Kruger and beautiful landscapes in Swaziland, before driving south to Durban and then west coast in direction of Capetown. 

Je sens déjà mon corps changer après une semaine de randonnées et de yoga. C'est bon de sentir ses muscles travailler et sa respiration prendre de l'ampleur. J'aime aussi cette humeur joyeuse et pétillante le matin au réveil. Un parfum d'aventure... Il y a aussi cette synchronicité qui se met doucement en place et qui me fait rencontrer les bonnes personnes au bon moment. Que de cadeaux déjà alors que la première semaine de voyage ne s'est même pas écoulée. Un régal. Je suis bien décidée à garder cette ouverture d'esprit et cette joie de vivre autant que possible. Je suis aussi attentive à observer et corriger mes réflexes inadaptés comme celui de refuser l'aide extérieure. En fait, je n'ai pas vraiment le choix, je dépend des autres et c'est très bien comme ça. 

Yesterday at Park Station, I bargained for a GPS because it was cheaper to buy it instead of renting it. It was fun. I observed that my Moroccan roots were quite vivid, thanks to 4 years of living in Casablanca. The seller did not have a home charger (only the car charger) and the GPS was second hand. As I insisted on checking its functiuning, we ended up trying it the car of a friend of his. I discovered too that chips with vinegar were really good. Then we went to Origins Center where it was made clear that culture, arts and probably language came from South Africa, and especially the San tribe. The subject is so interesting that I bought the book by Chris Stringer "the origins of our species" despite its technicity ...and its weight. The Backpackers dilemma: how can you travel around the world for a year and more and not buy things because you can't carry it in your already packed backpack? nevertheless, I bought a tee shirt and 2 dresses. A pure shame. But an exquisite pleasure too. 

Demain check out et RDV chez Hetz pour prendre la voiture à 10H. Après, c'est l'aventure, les explorations de Douja. Avant, c'est preparer mon diner, s'accorder sur les aspects pratiques de la journée de demain, encore une fois charger les téléphones/ipad/ipod/camera, remplir le sac a dos et au lit! Je ne pense pas que j'aurai accès à internet ou le temps d'écrire tous les jours, mais je ferai de mon mieux pour publier 2 fois par semaine. En attendant, plein de baisers à tous en vous souhaitant de belles choses mes chers amis et lecteurs!
